What is a Credit Union?

Credit Unions are not-for-profit organizations that have been in existence for well over 100 years. Profits go directly to the members in the form of higher savings rates, lower loan rates, minimal fees and exceptional service. Credit Unions serve groups that share something in common, such as where a member may live, work or worship. A credit union is a federally insured financial institution owned and controlled by its members. As a member/owner, you can help direct policies by electing the volunteer officials from among your fellow members. Any member over the age of 18, may run for a seat on the Board of Directors, or serve on a committee.

Credit Unions make a difference in their members' life and in the communities they serve. USAlliance Federal Credit Union has a track record of more than 38 years of proudly serving its members.

Our History

USAlliance Federal Credit Union is a full-service financial institution, with over 38 years of experience, providing financial services to employee groups in New York such as IBM and American Express and individuals who live, work, or worship in Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Plymouth, Barnstable, and Worcester counties in Massachusetts. Established in 1966, USAlliance FCU offers a full range of personal financial services to over 35,000 members nationwide. USAlliance FCU is owned by its membership, therefore profits go directly to its members, often in the form of higher savings rates, lower lending rates and high quality personal service. In addition, the Federal Government insures all deposits up to $100,000.
