About eStatements
Electronic Statements are your monthly account statements provided electronically via eBranch, a secure site for online account access. Electronic Statements look exactly like the statements you would normally receive in the mail, only now you have immediate access on your home or office PC. Electronic Statements are available on our website for 90 days. After that, the information will be available upon request (statement fees apply).To sign up, enter eBranch and click the menu option for eStatements.
If you elect eStatements, you will no longer receive monthly statements in paper form. However, you will receive everything that is normally provided in an electronic format. Since important disclosure information is often provided in our newsletter and via statement inserts, both these items are also available online.
Please note: If you are currently receiving quarterly statements, electing eStatements will initiate monthly statements.
About eTaxes
eTaxes is a secure and convenient electronic way to receive your annual tax documentation from the Credit Union via eBranch. You will have access to your tax documents more quickly for earlier completion of your return, and can retrieve them from the privacy of your home or office. Documents available through eTaxes include:1098 Mortgage Interest Statement
1099-INT/DIV Interest Income/Dividends and Distributions
1099-B Proceeds from Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions
1099-R Distributions From Pensions, Annuities, Retirement, IRAs, etc
5498 Contribution Information
Please note that by enrolling for eTaxes, you are electing to receive all your tax documentation from the Credit Union electronically and will no longer receive them in paper format.
For First Mortgage and Home Equity Fixed Rate loans, the 1098 and 1099-INT tax forms are available in electronic format when you logon to "Mortgage Account Access" located on our home page. Once logged on, please select "Statements/Documents". Please note that you will continue to receive these forms in paper format directly from the Credit Union.
Enrollment to receive 2007 tax forms electronically has ended. Please watch for future notification regarding sign-up for 2008.
Minimum Requirement For eStatements and eTaxes:
- You must have the following minimum requirements in order to receive eStatements and/or eTaxes:
- a minimum web browser version of:
Microsoft Internet Explorer V6.0 or greater
Netscape V6.0 or greater, or
America Online (AOL) V9.0 or greater, and
- Adobe Acrobat Reader®- Access to a printer or the ability to store electronic information
If you are having difficulty accessing your monthly statement (within 90 days of posting date) or eTaxes, please contact Member Services at 800-431-2754 or send an email message to emailbox@USAlliance.org.
Errors and Questions:
- If you think your statement or tax documentation is wrong, or if you need more information, write to our Quality Assurance immediately, on a separate sheet of paper, at 600 Midland Ave, Rye, NY 10580. For statement transaction issues we must hear from you no later than 60 days after we sent you the first statement on which the error or problem appeared or you may lose your rights. You may also telephone us at 800-431-2754 between 10am and 3pm or send an email to emailbox@USAlliance.org, but you must write to us to preserve your rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act.
In your letter, give us the following information:
- your name and account number,
- the dollar amount of the suspected error, and
- a description of the suspected error or item you are unsure about explaining as well as you can why you believe there is an error or what information you need.For detailed information on your rights in the case of an error, please review the last page of your statement.
- If you have a change of email address or if you would like to cancel your eStatements or eTaxes, please send your request to emailbox@USAlliance.org or contact Member Services at 800-431-2754.
