NEW CEO TAKES THE HELM AT USALLIANCE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

RYE, NY (December 12, 2011) – USAlliance Federal Credit Union today announced the retirement of their current President/CEO Michael F. Ambrose and the appointment of Kris P. VanBeek as his successor. Mr. Ambrose has served as the Credit Union’s chief executive since May 2001.

“Mike has been a great CEO,” notes George L. Barto, Chairman of the Board of Directors, “USAlliance is the world-class institution it is today because of the knowledge, foresight and leadership Mike has brought to the table. The entire Credit Union – employees, directors and members alike – are deeply grateful for his many contributions. Kris has some big shoes to fill but we are confident that his vision for USAlliance is the right one to move the Credit Union forward.”

Mr. VanBeek comes to USAlliance from Digital Federal Credit Union in Massachusetts where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Information Systems and Risk Management. His career encompasses a broad spectrum of experience in fields such as e-commerce, real estate, commodity markets and financial services. He is also an entrepreneur, having founded and led two companies. Mr. VanBeek is a frequent contributor to industry magazines on his areas of expertise and serves on several advisory boards.
